HSA - CITB
HSA CITB (Health & Safety Awareness – CITB) is a one-day introductory training course provided through the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) in the UK. SMSTS
SMSTS CITB (Site Management Safety Training Scheme – CITB) is a five-day course aimed at construction site managers, project managers, and senior supervisors. It provides in-depth training on legal responsibilities, risk management, safe site planning, and effective health and safety leadership. Completing SMSTS helps ensure managers can create, monitor, and maintain safe working environments on construction projects.
SSSTS
SSSTS CITB (Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme – CITB) is a two-day course designed for construction site supervisors or those preparing for a supervisory role. It covers legal responsibilities, effective supervision, risk assessments, health and safety requirements, and best practices for maintaining a safe working environment.
First Aid at Work
First Aid at Work training is important for supervisors and Managers because SSSTS & SMSTS teaches safety leadership, but supervisors and managers also need the practical ability to respond to accidents and injuries on site. While SSSTS and SMSTS focuses on safety management, First Aid at Work provides the hands-on skills needed in emergencies, making both courses complementary.
